Meet Dr. Sami Karloff

Orthodontist

Dr. Sami Karloff was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School, where she was active in volleyball, cheer, and her community.
Dr. Karloff earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Systems Engineering with a Biomedical Emphasis from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016 and her dental degree with distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 2021. Dr. Karloff then pursued an Orthodontic Residency at the University of Minnesota, earning her master’s degree and orthodontic certificate in 2023. During residency, Dr. Karloff gained experience in advanced orthodontic techniques, while incorporating the latest technology into her patients’ treatment.
After spending two years in Minneapolis, Dr. Karloff and her husband moved back to Lincoln, Nebraska, with their two dogs, Maya and Lily, and welcomed their first daughter, Ruby. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, listening to country music, and cheering on the Huskers and Vikings!

I chose orthodontics because of the opportunity to work with so many different individuals and watch their self-confidence grow as their smiles transform. A bonus is how the orthodontic profession combines my engineering experience with interpersonal relationships!

Outside of the Office

After spending two years in Minneapolis, Dr. Karloff and her husband moved back to Lincoln, Nebraska, with their two dogs, Maya and Lily, and welcomed their first daughter, Ruby. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, listening to country music, and cheering on the Huskers and Vikings!
